Pulaski County Traffic Court Records
Which court holds a Pulaski County traffic ticket depends on who wrote it. Pulaski County District Court keeps its own traffic files. In Little Rock, moving violations land in the Second Division, while parking and code cases run through the Third Division or the city enforcement route. North Little Rock routes traffic, environmental, code, and animal matters to its own Second Division on separate calendars. Sherwood, Jacksonville, Maumelle, and Wrightsville each maintain named District Court dockets too.
Where you live settles nothing. The citation controls. A city ticket stays with that city court even when the stop happened inside Pulaski County, and it never jumps to Pulaski County Circuit Court on geography alone. Circuit records appear only when a party files a valid appeal from District Court. Search ARCourts shows some District Court docket information, though participation remains spotty. A blank result screen proves nothing about whether a ticket exists.
No Single Pulaski Traffic Docket
Start with the citation itself. Read the court name and the response instructions printed on it. A police agency name, a street location, or your home address cannot tell you the right docket. If the listed court is unclear, call the clerk named on the ticket. The official Pulaski County District Court page lays out the county's lower-court channel. It covers traffic and other matters.

One traffic docket is all that page covers. City-issued citations still go to the named city court.

Looking Up a Traffic Ticket
For payable citations, the Arkansas Judiciary payment search works as a statewide entry point. Every search requires the court and a party name. You then supply either a citation number or a driver's-license or state-ID number with your date of birth. Payment-plan lookups use a plan number instead. Search ARCourts can round out docket status where the court participates.
- Identify the court printed on the citation.
- Open the official Arkansas citation query and select that court.
- Enter first and last name, then use the citation-number branch or the ID-and-birth-date branch.
- Review the court, charge, amount, and response details without assuming payment is the only choice.
- If nothing appears, call the exact court clerk or visit its counter with the citation.
- Use Search ARCourts for added case status only when that District Court supplies data.
The official citation form is shown below.

Pay attention to the Court field, since the same name can show up in more than one Arkansas jurisdiction.
Pulaski Citation Search Fields
The citation portal asks for clear field pairs. First Name, Last Name, and Court are always required. Adding a citation search means typing the number exactly as it appears on the ticket. You can also pair a driver's-license or state-ID number with a birth date in MM-DD-YYYY form. Every text field takes up to 50 characters. Pulaski citation numbers follow no single pattern, so copy the exact string from the ticket rather than guessing at punctuation.
| Field | Required | Format or use |
|---|---|---|
| Court | Yes | Select the payable Pulaski-area court |
| First Name | Yes | Up to 50 characters |
| Last Name | Yes | Up to 50 characters |
| Citation Number | One branch | Copy the ticket value exactly |
| Driver ID | Alternate branch | Pair with date of birth |
| Date of Birth | Alternate branch | MM-DD-YYYY |
The portal goes down for routine maintenance on weekdays from 12:30 to 2:00 a.m., and from Saturday at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday at noon. If a deadline is close, retry later or call the clerk.
How to Find Your Traffic Court Date
A citation may list an appearance date. But a later setting or a valid continuance can change it. Search ARCourts shows future settings under Case Events for participating courts. One event can carry the date, time, type, room, location, and judge. Docket Entries may keep the notice or order behind a reset. Call the assigned District Court clerk before you travel. A holiday or emergency can shift a recurring docket.
| Citation Number | Use the exact printed value, such as the citation's full court code and sequence |
|---|---|
| Court | The city or county District Court named on the ticket |
| Date and Time | Arraignment, trial, or other scheduled appearance |
| Setting Type | The purpose of the court event |
| Status | Portal status plus later docket activity |
An empty Case Events list never wipes out a date printed on your ticket. Call the clerk to confirm. Also remember that a continuance is only a request until the Pulaski County court grants it, so the original hearing date still stands.
Pulaski First-Offender Traffic Program
Pulaski County District Court runs a Traffic Probation and First Offender Program. It comes with firm conditions. You must have no traffic tickets in the prior three years. You must also have no earlier probation in that court. DWI and DUI matters are excluded. The program pairs a $35 Saturday defensive-driving school with a $100 monitoring fee, followed by six months without a moving ticket. Special Services takes questions at 501-340-6836.
Treat this as one named Pulaski County District Court option. It is not a promise that every city court or every charge qualifies. Confirm eligibility with the court before you pay or enter a plea. A class taken on your own will not change the court record by itself. Later, run a docket search on the case number and read what the court actually did. The final disposition appears there and nowhere else.
Note: A local traffic program counts only when the responsible court approves it and writes that result into the case.
Pay or Contest a Ticket
Paying an eligible citation settles it, but the payment is also a plea decision. The Arkansas portal itself warns that full payment plus its service charge may waive appearance and trial and be accepted as a guilty or no-contest plea. Some charges still require a court appearance no matter what. If you want to fight the ticket, follow the plea instructions printed on the citation and confirm the trial or pretrial route with the clerk.
| Pay | Contest |
|---|---|
| Use only if the charge is eligible and resolution is intended | Enter the required response or plea with the issuing court |
| Online portal accepts Visa, Discover, and MasterCard | Confirm the next hearing or trial setting with the clerk |
| Full payment may waive appearance and trial | Do not treat a continuance request as granted |
Missed deadline: Failure to appear can lead to an FTA and warrant. A missed plan can lead to FTP and a warrant. North Little Rock also warns that failure to answer a served traffic summons can suspend a license.
In Little Rock, a continuance request usually must be written and show good cause, filed ten days before trial. Miss that window and you must appear, or request a pretrial hearing under the city's instructions.
Pulaski Traffic Failure Codes
The same code can point to more than one kind of trouble. FTA stands for failure to appear in court. FTP stands for failure to pay on the court's terms. Failure to Comply usually ties to a required service. It may also mark some other condition the court set. Read each code next to its docket date. Check the detail line and any orders that came later. Paying late clears the money. It does not prove every warrant or compliance problem is gone.
- FTA
- Failure to appear at a required court setting.
- FTP
- Failure to make a required payment.
- Failure to Comply
- Failure to complete another obligation set by the court.
- Disposition
- The recorded result of the traffic charge.
For the steps tied to a specific case, call the clerk who holds the file. Jacksonville posts a weekday warrant-surrender procedure and charges a $25 warrant fee. That route belongs to Jacksonville only, so do not apply it to a ticket from another court.
Traffic Court Record vs Driving Record
Two different files are at work here. The District Court clerk keeps the citation case. That file holds the charge, each setting, the plea, the disposition, and every docket entry. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Driver Services keeps the reported driver history instead. They update on their own schedules and answer different questions. The official DFA driving-record page identifies the state custodian.

The state file has its limits. To confirm a hearing, a plea, or a disposition, the issuing court's docket still comes first.
| Feature | Court traffic record | DFA driving record |
|---|---|---|
| Custodian | Issuing District Court clerk | Arkansas DFA Driver Services |
| Shows | Citation, setting, plea, result, entries | Reported driver history |
| Get it | Citation portal, Search ARCourts, clerk | DFA record request |
Pulaski Traffic Record Custodians
DFA runs its state service from the Ragland Building, 1900 West 7th Street, Room 1070, Little Rock. The published line is 501-683-0984. The official Driver Services page adds broader agency context.

Keep that state channel separate from the Pulaski District Court contact. Only the responsible court can confirm an active setting. It can take a plea or explain a missing local docket entry. For county traffic matters, call 501-340-6832. Or visit the District Court counter at 3001 West Roosevelt. City tickets go through the city number the issuing court lists. Search ARCourts offers an added public view where the lower court participates. It is no substitute for those clerks.
Copies and Fees
Which record you want drives the fee. Pulaski District Court posts no single plain-copy or certified-copy schedule, so ask the issuing clerk for the current amount, accepted payment, delivery options, and processing time. The citation portal may add a service charge to an eligible online payment. That charge covers the payment route only, not copies.
| Traffic record item | Verified amount or action |
|---|---|
| District Court plain copy | Ask the issuing clerk |
| Certified traffic disposition | Ask the issuing clerk |
| Online citation service charge | Review before submitting payment |
Need proof of a court result? Name the exact citation and ask the issuing clerk what certified disposition it can provide. The broader Pulaski County court record search explains why a docket view, a filed paper, and a certified copy are distinct things.
Pulaski Court Printed on Citation
Trust the court name printed on the ticket. Do not guess from where you live, where the stop happened, or which agency wrote it. Pulaski County holds several District Court departments. Each one has its own clerk and docket. If the court line is hard to read, call the issuing agency or a likely clerk. Confirm the filing destination before you send money or show up. An unposted citation can still carry a live response date. Keep the paper handy. Use the court's official contact. District Court coverage is only partial statewide. A blank result there cannot settle the question.
Pulaski Traffic Event History
Case Events lists scheduled appearances where available. Docket Entries preserves the notices, orders, payments, and other activity over time. A reset can add a new event while the older date stays in the history. That sequence is not necessarily an error. Read the newest order and the current event together. Then confirm with the issuing Pulaski-area court. If Case Events is blank, lean on the citation and the clerk. Do that until the court changes the setting. A blank online field is never permission to miss court.
